Thanksgiving Day, 2002 to February 2, 2005
Blue velveteen
I saw Willow into this world as part of a litter I helped to home and she returned to me in her later days as part of a large group of "recycled" girls I took in. Willow stayed here because she needed surgery for a small mammary tumor and to be spayed due to ovarian cancer. Unfortunately, Wil's cancer returned and was inoperable the second time. Willow arrived on Thanksgiving and left on Groundhog Day. Though she was linked to holidays that way, she was never a flashy rat or a pushy one. She liked gentle affection and was a slow, thoughtful girl who enjoyed very much cuddling in her pink igloo with Graceless, her best buddy. Willow was super soft and plush and had a very sweet face with big, dark, soulful eyes. She was a quiet, gentle addition to our usually raucous Ruckus of Rats and her mellow presence will be very much missed in the rat room.
