Fawn Rex
Wayne looked like Paddington Bear but had the attitude of Travis Bickle. He was absolutely adorably cuddly to look at, but beware of messing with his cage - Wayne's home was his castle and he was not shy about defending it with his impressive fangs. He came with his fancy name, Touch the Son, from Soleil Rattery in Aurora, IL but I nicknamed him Wayne since the film "Wayne's World" is set in Aurora. He was bred to Satine and produced three lovely kids, among them Rufus and Rio, but became very aggressive a few months after they were born. He got better about being handled and petted as he aged, but would nip if picked up or when his cage was moved or cleaned. Despite this, I still adored the ornery ol' cuss. I can also say with certainty that I will never forget Wayne - I've got a nice big scar on my thumb thanks to him! Happily, his kids took after their mother and are super sweet. Rest in peace, Dr. Lecter.
