I had no intention of keeping Waterloo. He totally tricked me and engineered the whole thing by setting himself up to avoid adoption by everyone who looked at him. He's absolutely adorable and I have no idea how anyone was able to resist this little stub-tailed sweetheart. Or maybe I just didn't try so hard to place him because there was just something about him. I think how he ended up here doesn't matter so much in the grand scheme of things; what matters is that he's here for good and that I love him. I think Swedish supergroup ABBA sums it up best in the song that gave Waterloo his name:
