Blue velveteen self

Witch Baby came to us as part of a shipment from California I helped to disperse and she just sort of ended up staying. She was a bit shy at first but by the end of her too short life had done a 360 degree turn around and was a sweet, lovely, trusting girl. She was named for a character in a series of books by Francesca Lia Block, along with her cagemate Weetzie Bat. WB suffered from a number of health problems over the last few months of her life and we really bonded during that period. Her last night on earth was spent resting on my chest - she only ever wanted to be held and stroked when she felt really ill. She died in my arms, on "her" futon in my office. "For what it's worth, it was worth all the while. It's something unpredictable, but in the end it's right - I hope you had the time of your life." I will miss you so much, angel fluff.

Thinking about sneaking out...
and taking Francesca with her!
