Stumpleton J. Nudebody

Stumps came to us via Ayri from Whispering Wise Rattery on Vancouver Island, BC. She was found in an overcrowded tank with a ton of mamas and babies. Though her patchy fur is as a result of genetics, her stub tail was unnaturally created. For some unknown and sick reason, a person had cut it off her at an early age. Despite her sad beginnings, Stumps has really rallied and her life turned around the day she met Ayri. We were very honored to receive this very special rescued rat from Ayri and have thoroughly enjoyed her stay here. Stumps is not a fan of being held, but loves to have her head and back gently scratched and is very interested in touching noses with her humans and giving fingers a lick or two. She is our little rat psychologist and makes all our frightened new rescue ratties feel right at home. Though we'd give anything to give her back her tail, Stumps herself doesn't really seem to miss it much and is prone to wagging her little stub as she trots around the office exploring. Not enough good things can be said about our little exotic beauty and her ample demonstration of what power love has to redeem past hurts and how a little tenderness and compassion can go such a long way.
