Raffles came to me from Curly Whiskers Rattery in Boise, ID. When I first saw his photo and noticed his uncanny resemblance to my dear Keoki, I knew he had to come home with me! Raf was a sweet loving soul, with the cutest little cheeks and whiskers imagineable. Between him and his sister Azizi, we really lucked into a family of loveable rats! Raf was a fixture in my office for the last six months of his life after his old cagemates passed on and he decided he didn't want to live with anyone else. I moved him up to live in a more frequently human inhabited part of the house and he quickly became lord of the sofa. I'm eagerly awaiting his great-grandchild coming home to us in a month and a half, also from Curly Whiskers.
*A "poblester" is a possum/blazed/jester face - and, yes, we did make that one up.
