Silvered Fawn Dumbo Carrier Self
Odin was returned to us from his second home after he nipped the little daughter one too many times. I was quite pleased to have him back here and were amazed at how gorgeously he'd matured. Odin was a big, squishy creamsicle of a rat who inherited his mother Lucille's sassy presence and vibrant color and his father Andre's heftiness and very large array of long silky whiskers. He rejoined sisters Satine and Clover, brother Siggi, a host of aunts and uncles and a pair of silly nephews back at the ROUS castle, but in spirit only as he preferred to live alone. He was a bit of a crankypants with other rats and people he did not know or take a shine to, so he lived alone and was the tyrant of our living room, observing the comings and goings of us silly humans and his mortal enemies, the horrible cats. He was a wonderful couch ratato in his waning months and we spent some lovely Thursday evenings after work watching CSI together. Though Odin could be difficult with other rats and people, he never even tried to bite me - we were bonded the moment I picked him back up from his other family.
Sweet, sweet baby, life is crazy but there's one thing I am sure of - I'm your lady, always baby, and I love you now and ever. Macy Gray sang it, and I felt it for my dear big boy. Rest well my sweet baby and know that I love you forever.
