Black Self Dumbo with White "Socks"
Miss Millie was a bit of an unexpected surprise for Michelle of Curly Whiskers Rattery in Boise, ID. Her mother was an older doe who did not appear to be fertile any longer and who was housed with a very nice fellow who Michelle had attempted to breed her to several times without success. Well, one day the stork swooped in under everyone's nose and Michelle discovered that T'Pel, who was not looking at all pregnant, had given birth to two babies, one of whom passed away within the first week. Milagro, on the other hand, grew and thrived and turned into a big, sleek gorgeous girl made in the mold of her mother and father and best beloved grandpa, Keoki. When Michelle asked me if I wanted her, I jumped at the chance for this darling descendant of my favorite line of rats ever. Millie was such a gorgeous, shiny black girl with warm chocolatey undertones and the biggest, most soulful eyes. One look at her and I really knew she was special. Tragically, she passed away at only a year and a half of age, from a heart attack or aneurism. She leaves behind a wonderful son, Posole, who we will love in her place.
