ZRR Matisse

April 14, 2003 to July 24. 2005

Black possum velveteen dumbo

Though born on tax day, Matisse was anything but taxing to spend time with. This little teddy bear of a fellow was sweetly shy and gently endearing. He was always a great colony rat and was always so accepting and gentle with all his cagemates, young and old. Matisse came to us from Zephyr Rats all the way in Michigan, thanks to Sarah of Lone Star Rats. He was a good little traveller but seems overall to prefer the hammocky comforts of home. He produced some gorgeous children with CWR Min and was a lovely father figure for the younger boys in his cage. His dearest and oldest friend Stoju misses him terribly as do we all here.

Matisse in his gross gravy encrusted hammock resting after his Thanksgiving feast. Needless to say, that went into the wash shortly thereafter.
Matisse and cagemates Trotsky, Zinfandel, Sam and Stoju ham it up as per the usual.
Extreme whisker close up!
Chillin' with his little buddies, Boomerang, Rudie and Ajali.
