Marco came to us from Little Mischief Rescue in BC. He was abused and quite nervous around people when he came into rescue, not to mention malnourished and skinny. His foster home both fattened him up and started the process of getting him to trust people again. His physical and mental condition has continued to improve since he's been here, though it's often one step forward, one step back. He's gotten fairly friendly, though he really does not care to be touched or picked up along his back. He's also equal parts curious about the world and very fearful of new experiences, so that's been an interesting challenge with him. He's still deciding how he feels about other rats, though my hope is that he'll eventually want to live with a larger cage group, who can help really jump start his trust of people through their own behavior.
