Sisu the Amazing!
Lotte's much anticipated litter had two sad tragedies and one great triumph. Lotte gave birth to two stillborn babies on March 14 and one live baby boy. Unfortunately, in cleaning off the little one, Lotte nipped off the rear toes and part of both rear feet. It was entirely accidental and she's been a wonderful, doting mother since then. Miraculously, the little fellow, who we call Sisu, survived the trauma of his birth and is thriving and walking. Sisu is a Finnish word for "self-reliance and spirit" and this darling little man embodies that concept wholeheartedly. Sisu will not have only one owner, but a whole family behind him who have been following his story since day one including me, "papa" Wil, his other human mom Jennifer and his "aunts" Debbie, Tiva and Lizzy.
