Sealpoint siamese dumbo

Kili's origins are a little accidental, as is how he ended up living here, but my choice to keep and love him was very deliberate. Kili's breeder, Kelsey from TOPI Rats in Oregon, called me up to ask if I could do her a favor and pick up a six week old kitten from a family in a suburb of Seattle, where we're located. For the first time in her long career as a breeder, she'd not separated males from females in a litter early enough to prevent accidental sibling breeding. I guess this litter was just anomalously precocious in that regard. Unbeknownst to her, she'd sent a pregnant female to a new home up north and the girl had produced a small but very healthy litter. Happily, all of the babies but one was female and they would go on to live with their mum and auntie and everyone was happy. But this single fellow needed to go somewhere until Kelsey could make the three hour trip up here to pick him up. I agreed to foster him until that time but, as will surprise no one who knows me, I fell in love with the little guy. He made an excellent companion to Fili, who was just a couple weeks younger, and I also had his uncle/possibly father, TOPI Ozu, living with us so it just made sense to tuck him in here where he was already feeling comfortable. He also descends from Sisu and Tehanu, who were two of my all-time favorite rats and the apple has not fallen far from the tree for sure. As he's aged, Kili has turned into an absolute stunner of a sealpoint - creamy beige body, lusciously dark chocolate points, very little white on his toes - and he's remained a lovely, kind and cuddly presence in the rat room.
