Miss Junie gave birth to ten beautiful babies on May 21, the day of the Boise Rat-a-rama. She was rather late in delivery, but birthing went well and 9 out of 10 babies is perfect and healthy. The tenth, our little Grasshopper, is the smallest runt we've ever seen survive past a few days. Every time I check the babies, I brace myself for her to be gone and so far the stubborn little thing thwarts my expectations, thank goodness. All babies are, as one might easily surmise, named for cocktails. I hope you find these babies as delicious and intoxicating as their names imply. I don't yet know if the curly coated babies will be rex or double rex, so time will tell.
