Hazel delivered on the rainy early afternoon of March 28. Sneakypants Hazel tricked me and made me think at first she'd only had 9 when, in fact, she'd been hiding the dear little runt for over a week before I changed the cage and caught wise! These guys are large, plump and very well fed and tended to by Hazel, who is a really wonderful but mellow mom rat who seems to quite enjoy her little charges so far. Even our runt, Half Pint, is doing very well under Brewmaster Hazel's very able paw.
