Silver blue and silver black dumbos

These pretty girls came back to the ROUS fold when their owners decided they were too much to handle. These sisters were part of an accidental litter that happened in a home where I'd placed their brother and sister parents. I helped to home that litter, though unfortunately several of the siblings later began to suffer from seizures in their new homes. Hope managed to dodge having seizures but ended up with cancer late in life, whereas Grace has apparently had at least one siezure and has been prone to strange episodes and mood swings. Later in life, Gracie suffered a series of strokes that left her partially paralyzed but she was the sweetest, cheeriest nursing patient ever for those last few months. Hope was a sweet, active, silvery little beauty queen who loved to build elaborate nests in the corner of her cage. She was a touch camera shy, but her sister Grace more than made up for her avoidance of the papa-rat-zzi. Grace was a complete camera ham who indulged me by posing for her grooming photos. She was a dead ringer for her dearly beloved grandmother Beefy and also had that Beefy propensity for pulling Houdini acts on a regular basis as you will see below. Grace was the queen of little kisses and always had to smell every inch of your hand when you placed it in the cage. Both of these girls required nursing care in the last months of their lives and they were wonderful patients. Nobody could help but dote on both of these amazing girls. I am so happy that they came back into my life - nobody could have asked for a better pair of loving sisters than my "Hopeless" and my "Graceless." Run together girls, healthy and free.
