Siamese Dumbo
The lovely Miss Gracie Pearl was another "impulse adoption" but, as you can see, resistance was futile against the power of those big red eyes and pointed nose. She was missing a few foot points, but we never held that against her - show quality is one thing but pet quality is an even higher calling for a little rat. Gracie was a rather imperious southern belle who expected servitude from both her human and rat companions and who truly enjoyed a good meal. Her brother Nilo still lives with us as well and is similarly bossy - it must run in the family! Gracie fought the cancer that claimed her very hard and made it through a very difficult double tumor removal and spent another few months post-surgery as queen of her cage. Give 'em hell til we get there with you, Gracie.
