Silvered black essex velveteen dumbo
Gordon was one of the babies in an unplanned but marvelous litter that occurred in a home where I'd placed his mother Maddie. She, being a wily girl, got out of her cage and into their boy rat's cage and, well, you can guess the rest. Their owner gave the girl back to me since she didn't have the time or resources to raise the litter at that time and I was all set to have her immediately spayed as it had only been two days since her daring escape. I mentioned what had happened to my friend Michelle at Curly Whiskers Rattery in Boise and she asked if she could have Maddie, possible litter and all. Michelle bred Maddie's mother, Beefy, and was just smitten with Maddie since she was the spitting image of her marvellous mother. So Michelle raised this litter and did an amazing job as they were all so sweet and social. I just could not resist this little fellow who completey won my heart by hanging from the cage bars and leaping at me to be held, so he had to return to his Washington roots. His dad was a handsome russian blue from Becky at Spiralrat Rattery and his mom supplied the fabulous essex fading. Gordon was absolutely built in the mold of his beloved grandmother. I just adored my Gordon and there's such a big hole left in our rattery now that he's gone. He does leave behind some amazing children and grandchildren to keep his legacy going, for which I am extremely grateful. My sweet El Gordo Guapo.
