Checkers is one of our three ladies who lives in the living room, by special dispensation from Wil. She looks and acts a great deal like her great-aunt Elphie who also inhabits this cage. We're hoping she'll mellow more like our third resident, Schnee, as she ages, but we are not counting on it. Checkers is completely adorable and bewitching and we believe she knows it. She has already wrapped her daddy completely around her little pink fingers and is learning to be a good sofa rat under the tutelage of her ratty aunties and the resident cats.
