Husky Light Beige Dumbo

This handsome blonde giant was our darling Dre. He was named for the wrestler Andre the Giant due to his rapid early growth, and also for a San Fransisco DJ since the boy has rhythm. His nickname "Dre" evolved over time and, though he often referred to as Dr. Dre, his personality really did not evoke that of the cantankerous rapper. Andre, instead, prefered the quite life and was a very gentle soul. He had a very short attention span and, though his SAT scores would likely have been pretty low, he made up for this lack of brains with an overflow of heart. If this were the land of Oz, Andre would have been the Tin Woodsman. His three children, Satine, Clover and Siggi, seem to have taken after their mama WWR Lucille in activity, but their dad in sweetness. Andre spent the last six months of his life in the "comfy cage" with his cantankerous brother Moby as his health had to be closely monitored after a serious bout of pneumonia earlier in the year left his lungs very scarred. Regular antibiotic treatments kept him feeling pretty good and he did manage to make it past his two year birthday, which we celebrated with a muffin with a candle in it. Andre was the most patient patient a nurse could ask for - he took his rescue shots in stride and was sweet to the very end. We will miss our gentle giant so very very much and do completely intend to keep his line going. Good night, Six Million Dollar Rat and Wonder Weasel, we will miss you so.
